Aidan Dockery from Heritage Ireland came to visit our school. We enjoyed his visit and learned lots of new and exciting facts about World War 1, The Titanic and the leaders of the 1916 Rising. The pictures above are of the belt and two watches worn by Aidan's Uncle who died fighting in World War  1. He was wearing the belt when he was shot, and you can see the bullet holes in it. The stone in the 3rd picture was taken from the remnants of the home of Thomas Clarke's father in Carrigallen.
